Basically, you have two main ways of getting involved.
1) You can help us covering the costs of the project - so, you will be a Sponsor
Let’s face it. This project has some costs. Neither Lena nor Gonçalo will profit from this project (other than living this amazing experience!). The estimated direct costs for the project are around 6.000 Eur (only both flights cost 3.500€). And we really are committed to keep these costs to a minimum.
You can sponsor us in many ways: cash contributions, getting involved or helping spreading the word.
If you do feel comfortable in sponsoring us and helping us making this project possible, we really appreciate your contribution and would like to send you a big THANK YOU!
If you prefer to help directly our supported non-profit institution (OPERATION SMILE.ORG), we are also very happy with it! We will donate them a minimum of 1.200 €, representing surgeries for 7 kids. Your help is welcome (just tell us where you want your contribution to go, otherwise we will by default divided in two, half for NGO donation and the other half for sponsoring the costs of the trip.
2) You can help directly the non-profit institution we are supporting:
Operation SMILE - with a Donation (either individuals or companies).
Our Fund Raising target for them is a minimum of 1.200 Eur.
The money obtained will help support the activities of the institution, especially the surgeries for the kids, reconstructing their lips and giving them back their SMILES.
You have two ways for contributing:
1) Paypal, the securest way to make payments in Internet.
2) Bank Transfer (Gonçalo’s account, fully allocated to this project and freeze until Sep. 2010).
